Dufftown is a fabulous place to have our shop. They say round here that Rome was built on 7 hills but Dufftown was built on 7 stills. We currently have 6 operational distilleries in town - not bad for a population of 1200 people. So there is no where else so soaked in the sights, sounds, smells and history of whisky. During the Spring and Autumn whisky festivals, we run specialist events. Check out www.dufftown.co.uk and www.spiritofspeyside.com for more information on the festivals. We can help you when visiting the area organise your whisky tours and distillery trips. We will help you plan your own personal whisky trail. We are open Monday to Saturday 10am to 6pm (and Sunday 10am to 5pm March to October). |
The Whisky Shop Dufftown is run by Mike Lord and his team. We offer an exceptional selection of single malt Scotch whiskies from Dufftown – the whisky capital of the world - and the rest of Scotland. You can buy our whisky on-line, by e-mail, over the phone or by dropping in to see us in Dufftown. We are a genuine independent whisky specialist where you can get helpful advice on which single malts to try and how to fully enjoy Scotland’s finest product. In addition to the numerous single malts on offer, we also stock a great selection of whisky related items and gifts such as Quaichs, flasks, whisky related art and Scottish beers.
At the shop we hold regular whisky tastings throughout the year for groups or individuals by arrangement – it’s a relaxed yet informative way to find out more about different single malts.
