We collect some personal information in our registration form which we ask visitors to complete when signing in. This information is collected so that we can contact you with offers, and so that we can deliver orders if products are ordered online.
The Whisky Shop Dufftown takes steps to ensure that any potential threats to your personal details are minimised. We will not share the details that you have disclosed to us with any other parties. We may contact you from time to time to let you know of offers that thewhiskyshopdufftown.co.uk are running and send out a regular newsletter. If you do not wish to receive further information from us, please contact us. We will not contact you unless subsequently asked to do so. 3. Security
In order to ensure the safety of customers' financial details thewhiskyshopdufftown.co.uk uses Secure Sockets Layer technology to ensure that your details are sent securely to us and hold a 'COMODO' licence for our site. Once we have those details, we treat them responsibly as you would expect, ensuring that they cannot fall into the wrong hands.

Payment can be made by debit or credit card online, using the following cards: VISA, VISA Delta, Mastercard, Switch and Solo.
5. Follow Up
Once an order is placed, an automatic email response is generated, letting you know that your order has reached us securely and confirming the order details. If there are any errors please contact us so that we can amend the order, or cancel it if you prefer.
6. Delivery
After processing - which can be delayed if we are out of stock of the products ordered (in which case we will advise you), all orders are dispatched using a 24 hour service to most mainland destinations in the UK, 48 hour service to many European addresses and 72 hours to outlying areas of the UK. For international orders, delivery times vary depending on location. An estimate of delivery time can be provided by requesting further details.
Delivery charges are calculated based on the weight of the product and the destination address. We ship to most countries, although delivery of alcohol related products to Canada is prohibited. (If you choose to have an alcohol related product delivered to an address in Canada we unfortunately cannot guarantee delivery.)
We only ship bottles individually for non-UK orders for speed and safety reasons. For the safety of your bottle, and to keep postage costs down, we do not normally send the outer cardboard packaging with the bottle, if you particularly want this enclosed please email us at the time you place your order. However, some bottles have special presentation cases which we will send.
7. Returns Policies
If you are unhappy with products purchased which are not faulty, we will happily refund your money, or exchange the products if you inform us within 7 days after the day following the delivery of the goods. In this event, the products must be returned to us in good condition. We will make reimbursements within 30 days of cancellation. Any product returned must be within its original packaging. (Unfortunately we cannot pay for the delivery charge of unwanted products.)
However, if any products that we send to you are faulty or damaged we will replace them or reimburse you for the expense, including the cost of delivery, if you prefer. If products are faulty or damaged, we require that you tell us within a reasonable time of receipt of the products. All refunds and reimbursements will be paid within 30 days of your notifying us of your wish to return the products. Any product returned must be adequately packed to avoid any possible damage.
8. Accuracy
While we have endeavoured to ensure the accuracy of the information on the site, we cannot guarantee or give any warranty as to the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of any information or material on the web site. Prices and specifications can change without notice and products are subject to availability.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Age Restriction
We can only sell alcohol products to those over the age of 18. By placing an order, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and the minimum legal age for purchasing alcohol and/or tobacco products in your country of residence.
10. Availability
Supply is usually reliable for most products displayed at thewhiskyshopdufftown.co.uk. Some of the whiskies and goods shown are either not available because they are temporarily out of stock or because they may be one of only a few in the world. Should a product be unavailable, we will inform you of this promptly.
11. Taxes and Duties
Whisky, beers and other products sold at thewhiskyshopdufftown.co.uk are subject to UK taxation. If we are sending products to an address within the European Union (EU), prices are subject to Value Added Tax (VAT). If we are sending to an address out side the EU, we will not charge VAT, however you may be liable to local taxes and duties upon arrival in your country. It is the customers responsibility to check with their countries import regulations and to comply and pay these duties. (Please contact your Customs Department if you require further information).
